This piece came is part of my collection of big cats (Camouflaged Big Cats) but on a smaller canvas than I usually paint. Through colour, I tried to achieve a feeling of calm with a feeling of depth and mystery. The symbol of blue and purple layers stir these emotions, camouflaged amongst the large leafy plants they prowl with powerful ambition

This piece is the second tiger in a collection of big cats (Camouflaged Big Cats) The first being Power of the Tiger, I wanted to evoke a range of emotions through colour and achieve a feeling of calm yet somewhat lugubrious piece, i wanted to create a feeling of depth and mystery. I was inspired to look inside myself so that I could paint what I was feeling. Peace in the Wind symbolizes change and new opportunities.

The woman is free on the mythical creature that resemble a horse, the Unicorn, seeking peace and tranquillity, they are on top of a mountain of rocks, even though it has been a hard climb, they made it.

The crow is of importance because when I was painting this (even though they are always there) this one crow was outside constantly singing like it was singing to me, and a crows spiritual meaning is positive change, transformation and are a good omen. Their feathers are considered sacred and believed to bring good luck.

So I hope this piece of art brings you happiness and you feel and emotional connection.

This piece is part of my Backyard Wildlife Series. The birds and native wildlife are in plenitude in my backyard during spring. We have magpies that have returned year after year with their babies, we get the odd possum in a tree outside the bedroom window that makes the most hair-raising noise at night. (See also the first piece in this series, Backyard Wildlife- 2 Kookaburras and a Blue Faced Honeyeater)

With spring in the air, the wildlife and birds are making noise in my backyard. There have been several kookaburras about letting us know the rain is coming. The blue faced honeyeaters have been fluttering in and out of our native trees. I wanted to capture my backyard wildlife with some quirky and messy fun.

I wanted to capture my backyard wildlife in a series with some quirky, fun and a little messy style of art. This piece is number three in the series. I think crows are fascinating birds, they are playful and like to scavenge and gather food, the yellow tailed black cockatoo lives in old native trees and use their beak to crack gum nuts.

A vibrant piece to make your heart feel good just to look at it. My love for Australian native birds and flora are combined to give an abstract style with colours that are found throughout nature. It has a whimsical stylised look like many of my artworks.

There is nothing more wonderful in life than just enjoying the moments with family, friends and in nature that surrounds us.

Living in rural Queensland I’m reminded to slow down and enjoy life, I love the native wildlife and bush im surrounded by, this piece represents the colours in nature if you look around to find them, I love creating in a whimsical stylised way to capture what each day has to offer
